multicoloured blur of the peloton
Everyone can enjoy the sights and sounds of the race by using
the following information to optimise your spectating experience
safely and without influence on the races.

Sunday's
criteriums provide action packed racing right in the centre
of Wagga Wagga.
Make use
of the food stalls, the nearby cafes and shops, then settle
down in the shade of the picturesque Victory Memorial
Gardens in the centre of the course and watch the racing.
The gardens can be accessed via the pedestrian crossing near
the council chambers on Baylis St. Marshals will be present
to ensure that spectators and riders to not unite.
Once on the inside of the circuit you will be able to move
around to the many corners and see the lean angles increase
as the races get faster from E to A grade.
When watching the criteriums please follow the direction
given by the officials and marshals for your own safety and
the safety of the riders.
The red stars marked on the map are
excellent viewing spots.

Shown here are 3 locations that you can drive to
without getting in the way of the race.
After experiencing the prerace muster, drive approx 28 km along
the course to Star 1 on the map
Star 1: Right at the top of the steepest climb of
the day. and see the pain on the faces of the riders. After all
the bunches have gone past, head back the way you came and turn
right on the western (Wagga) side of Wantabadgery, then drive
along this narrow road until you reach a terminating T
intersection which is Star 2 on the map
Star 2: The Junee-Nangus Road is a major leg of the race and the
intersection at this point provides a chance to see how the race
is going before the riders enter the township of Junee. After
the last riders have past head back the way you came towards
Wantabadgery and turn right back to Oura just in time to see the
bunch sprint at finish
Star 3: The finish line - right out the front of the Wagga
Wagga Winery. The presentations will commence at the winery
shortly after the end of the race.
In the centre of the township of Junee
there are great vantage points along Lorne St to see the peloton
fly through town however you will not be able to make it back in
time to see the riders cross the finish line. Please do not try
to drive the direct route, past the riders, to try and get to
the finish as any traffic endangers the riders.
Please do not drive on the course of
Saturday's 84km road race when the race is in progress.
Spectators are asked to either stay at the start/finish for the
duration of the race
or
drive to Junee via the Wagga-Junee road after the start so you
can watch the racers travel through the township of Junee.
Saturday's 116km road race can be seen at
several vantage points along the course.
