Saturday Farmers Markets 2011

The Farmers markets are run every second Saturday of the month at the Civic centre from 7.30 am to approx 12.30, our stall is directly in front of the Civic Theatre. We have 6 teams this year which will mean each team will only have two dates to cover for the year; we also have a list of reserves to call on if needed.

The trailer with everything you need is stored at Paula and Rob Housden’s – 5 Birch Rd Lake Albert ( off Brunskill Road) , ph 6922 4520 or mbl 0408 111849. Please call first to make sure they are home and collect everything on the Friday afternoon /evening.

If you find we are running low on anything please tell Paula (ph 6922 4520 or mbl 0408 111849) or Jan Marks (ph 692223814 or mbl 0427 223814) when you return the trailer Saturday/Sunday or leave a note in the till eg gloves, paper towel, oil etc. Please wash everything from the aprons to the Bain Marie in hot soapy water and pack neatly back into the containers. Also please do not crack eggs on the side of the BBQ it makes a terrible mess

Rotary have asked if we could cover the green cloths with the green nylon sheets on our working tables to eliminate heavy staining. They have also requested that no one parks/stops on the tiled area in front of the civic theatre to unload.

If you cannot work on your allocated date please ring a replacement from another team or from the reserve list

PLEASE, IF YOU CAN’T ATTEND ON YOUR GIVEN DAY, ORGANISE A SWAP WITH SOMEONE ELSE.  IF YOU REQUIRE PHONE NUMBERS, PLEASE SEE PAULA HOUSDEN.

I have tried, where possible, to have the families of the younger riders or people new to the canteen, work with another family who can stay longer in the night or who has worked in the canteen before. The canteen can be done by a Dad, Mum or relative (just need to be 16yrs or older).

Canteen duties start at 5:10pm and finish at approximately 9pm (families of younger riders should stay until at least 7:15pm)

If your name doesn’t appear on the roster and you have no other job within the club, perhaps you could let us know and we can have you as an emergency if someone is unable to attend.  We have endeavored to include ALL parents of cyclists but we may have missed some new mums.

ALL PARENTS are expected to do something to help with the running of the club; it makes it a lot easier if everyone can do a little rather than a few doing a lot.  We all have children riding….and we all enjoy watching them!
