LICENCES

To be able to race in club events, club training, interclub events, state events and national events riders need to hold an Australian Cycling Federation licence. By holding this licence you become affiliated with the NSW Cycling Federation and Cycling Australia through the Wagga Wagga Cycling Club. This allows you to compete in any sanctioned cycling events in Australia and is used to verify your club and state membership when entering and registering for events. Our licence secretary is Fiona Bruce. She can be contacted by email at rvdental@hotmail.com

An Australian Cycling Federation licence is valid for 12 months, from January to December. Usually you would purchase your license at the beginning of the year to get the most value. However, a license can be purchased at any time. If you are a new member joining after the beginning of October for the remainder of that year (ie. you want to race the Track season from October) the ACF gives you the last 3 months of that year free. So, in effect, your licence is valid for 15 months!

The Australian Cycling Federation also has a 6 month license available from July 1st each year. Day licences are also available.

Applies to one member category only for which all family members would qualify.

A Kidz licence is available for children who are only participating in Wagga club and interclub events. This is only available for juniors up to 12 years old (primary school). It is not a racing license – its primary objective is to encourage new children to participate in the sport at an affordable cost.

The cost of a cycling licence varies depending on your age group. See the NSW Cycling website for details.
