Riverina Leader
The Easter
Bunny has been, the chocolate has been gobbled and the waistlines are bulging.
The solution – get on your bike. That is exactly what the Wagga Wagga Cycling
Club members are looking forward to doing. They are all looking for some serious
riding to stop the joints freezing up.
Since the end of track season, riders have been busy getting their road bikes
dusted off for some serious stuff on the road. Unfortunately, the club has not
yet received the all clear to start club road racing however training runs can
still be organized on Saturday afternoons on the Elizabeth Avenue course.
The next major event is the Junior 2 Day Tour on the 6th and 7th of May. The
club is looking for all the help it can get. Please say yes if asked. Better
still, how about offering your services before being asked. It is just a matter
of ringing Paddy or Neil.
Bob’s training is still on at the track every Monday and Wednesday evening
commencing at 4.30 pm with road bikes. Seniors, juniors and beginners are all
welcome. Seniors, don’t forget to keep an eye on the interclub series.
