The first round of NJTS has been run, and it was a cracking event for our Wagga Juniors. In the under 15 women Rebel Brooker made every Final and made a daring breakaway in the elimination which was racing at its best. Isabelle Maher finished with a 4th in the Elimination, 7th in the Keirin Final and if there was an award for best dismount, Isabelle would have won that after a fellow rider crashed in front of her, she rode over the top of her and come to a holt hitting the boards. Ed Wright is currently in second place overall In the series in the under 15 boys and showed the crowd a sprinting exhibition with wins in the Keirin, Aussie Crawl, and a second in the sprint. Kate Vickers demonstrated her experience by being in the right place at the right time, being in great positions but just not having the legs to stay with the second years. Carina had her first win in the Robin Sprint and looked like she has been riding the boards for years, this NJTS was her first race on any boards and for the season. Joss Heap was never far away from the action with a breakaway in the scratch race and stayed away to finish 3rd (big thanks to her team Mate Carina) and also finished 3rd in her Keirin heat. The club is incredible proud of all Wagga Riders and we are looking forward to the second Round in Melbourne. ... See MoreSee Less
